In 1991, Georgie became a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), and in 2004 a Certified Bath Designer (CBD), with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

From 1997-2004, Georgie served on the NKBA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Board as VP Communications, Secretary and Chapter President.
From 2001-2005, Georgie served on several National level positions for the NKBA, including the Ad Hoc Committee to re-write the Kitchen and Bath Guidelines, and the Certification Test Board.
